Old Time Gingersnaps

1 c molasses

1/2 c butter

1 tsp soda

1 tsp ginger

Directions:

Boil the molasses for 5 min.

Remove from fire.

Add soda, butter, ginger.

When cooled a little, stir in flour until thick enough to roll.

Roll thin as a postage stamp.

Cut with a cookie cutter, bake in a hot oven, being careful not to burn.

Shut in a tin pail.

These will keep for a long time.
