I created this recipe because my brother (Sameer) really enjoyed the fudge cookie at Great American Cookie Company. Sadly, they went out of business. The cookie recipe below is an original creation, based on my memories of GACC’s cookie. My brother really likes it, and I hope you will too! ^^
Sameer’s Request Chocolate Chip Cookies
(The texture is more brownie-like than cookie-like)
(very fudgy and chocolaty)
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c flour (bread)
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 c chocolate chips (semi sweet)
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1 tsp nescafe (coffee, instant)
1 tsp cocoa powder (milk, not dutch processed)
Mix egg, butter, sugars, vanilla extract.
Add salt, baking soda, baking powder, nescafe, cocoa powder.
Add flour, chocolate chips, walnuts.
Shape dough into 1″ disks.
Put onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Take unused dough, freeze in plastic container (I find that the large yogurt containers are best for this).
Keeps for 1 month.
To use: defrost overnight, bake as above.
