Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe (1 bowl recipe)

Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe
For 112 cookies
1 bowl recipe

1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c flour
1 3/4 c blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal and blend in blender to a fine powder)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
6 oz chocolate chips
1/4 8 oz grated Hershey bar
3/4 c chopped nuts

Cream butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Add chocolate chips, hershey bar, and nuts.
Roll into 1.5” balls and place 2” apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 min.

Freezing instructions:
Take unused dough, freeze in plastic container (I find that the large yogurt containers are best for this).
Keeps for 1 month.
To use: defrost overnight, bake as above.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Variation:
skip the chocolate chips and Hershey bar
replace with 6 oz. raisins
add 1 tsp cinnamon
add 1/4 tsp clove
(optional) add 1/2 tsp grated orange peel

Chocolate Chip Cherry Variation:
add 4 oz. dried cherries
